Exiting flavours are rising from the steep hills of Malaga. Complex, refined and refreshing combinations that are pure and balanced. Please don’t be boring. Don’t be normal, drink Salvador.
There is a small and magical place hidden in the steep hills of Malaga.
Not that long ago, two friends from Amsterdam travelled to Malaga for a weekend break. Little did they know it would change their lives forever. In a small bar called “La Tranca” – which literally translates to “The Bar” they were both intrigued by the many barrels behind the counter. The locals convinced them to give the vermouth from their region a try. It was love at first sight.
Dedicated to bring the culture of vermouth back to Amsterdam, Fedde and Roy started Salvador. The wine fields of Salvador consist of Muscat grapes with a a pronounced sweet floral aroma. The breadth and number of varieties of Muscat suggest that it is perhaps the oldest domesticated grape variety.
We handpick and blend the grapes with premium and local ingredients. The oranges from Malaga, alongside the herbs and spices, are key to the deep amber colour of our vermouth.
Times are changing and we now find ourselves in a time where vermouth is more appreciated in The Netherlands. Salvador is one of the fastest growing vermouths in Amsterdam. A true classic on it’s own. A star in every mixer. We are rapidly expanding to other countries. So feel free to ask for Salvador every were you are. Salud!
